In this video you will learn the construction of an isosceles triangle using a compass.

Isosceles Triangle: A triangle with at least two congruent sides.

Procedure:

  1. Create a line segment that will be the base of the isosceles triangle.
  2. With one end of compass at one endpoint of the base, make an arc.
  3. At the other end of the base, make another arc without changing the radius.
  4. Connect each end of the base to the intersection of the two arcs, or the vertex, forming an isosceles triangle.
