SUNY Delhi Acceptance Rate

The State University of New York at Delhi (other names: SUNY Delhi, Delhi State College, or just Delhi) is a public college located in the town of Delhi, New York. The school belongs to the extensive State University of New York (SUNY) system. Established in 1913, Delhi was originally a farming school before expanding into general education in the late 1920s.

A total of 3,511 students have enrolled in SUNY College of Technology at Delhi. Out of that number, 3,465 students were enrolled in undergraduate programs while 46 students took up graduate programs. Based on gender distribution, 1,540 male and 1,971 female students are attending SUNY Delhi. By race or ethnicity, the school has 2,113 White, 563 Black, and 73 Asian students out of total 3,511.

Tuition Figures

2019 statistics show that the undergraduate tuition and fees of SUNY College of Technology at Delhi are $8,360 for residents of New York and $12,330 for those living out of state. For Delhi’s graduate school, the tuition and fees amount to $11,485 for New York residents and $13,705 for others. 2,377 students or 68.60% of the enrolled undergraduate students have received financial aid either in the form of grants or scholarships with an average amount of $8,252.

Academics

Delhi offers more than 60 programs that can lead to bachelor’s degrees, associate degrees, and certificates in select fields. Three academic divisions make up SUNY Delhi: Applied Sciences and Technology; Business and Hospitality; and Liberal Arts and Sciences.

Student Life

SUNY Delhi has an active campus life. More than 40 clubs and organizations are open to students, along with 17 recognized and many unrecognized Greek organizations. The student activities office can be found in the upper level of the Farrell Student and Community Center.

A wide range of outdoor spaces is also available, such as basketball courts, racquetball courts, a soccer field, a track, and tennis courts. The Delhi College Golf Course can be accessed in the valley portion of the campus.

Additionally, the school has a Farrell Student and Community Center with a dance and aerobics room on its main floor. This area is where free yoga, pilates, and dance classes are regularly held for the SUNY Delhi community.

Athletics

The SUNY Delhi Broncos recently made their way to the NCAA Division III. They are also members of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA). Men’s sports include basketball, cross country, golf, lacrosse, soccer, swimming & diving, tennis, and track & field. Women’s sports include basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, swimming & diving, tennis, track & field, and volleyball.

Before 2015, the Delhi Broncos were members of the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), in which they garnered 21 national titles in men’s and women’s cross country and track & field.
