Location

Clinton Community College can be found in the Town of Plattsburgh. The school is located just a few miles south of the city of Plattsburgh in Clinton County, New York. Situated on Lake Champlain, CCC is just an hour south of Montreal, Quebec and across the lake from Burlington, Vermont.

The largest facility in the campus is the George Moore Academic and Administrative Building. It houses multimedia smart classrooms and computer labs. There’s also the William B. Forrence Health, Physical Education, and Recreation Building, which serves as the home of Cougar Athletics.

Academics

CCC offers several degrees in Associate of Arts (A.A.) or Associate of Science (A.S.) for students who plan to transfer to a four-year college. Meanwhile, those who want to directly enter the workforce have the option to complete an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree. The school also provides workforce training programs that may result in credentials that can be linked to the school’s degree programs.

In addition, students can enroll in the Health Services Management program and complete the degree without ever buying a textbook. All books and materials for the program’s courses will be made free and open to students.

Student Life

Clinton Community College provides several clubs and organizations that cover various interests. There are also numerous leadership opportunities in the residence halls and on campus.

Students can opt to take part in the Student Senate, Student Activities Board, College Chorale, Criminal Justice Club, Drama Club, Art Club, Clinton Community Equality Alliance, Science and Technology Club, Nursing Club, Native American Club, Honor Society (Phi Theta Kappa), and the International Student Club. For those with interest in sports, they may join any of the school’s athletic programs either as spectators or as athletes.

Athletics

Clinton  Community College teams are called the Cougars. Their official school colors are blue and white. The school has different sporting teams in the male and female divisions. They are affiliated with the National Junior College Athletic Association, Region III.
